OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

We believe, as members of God’ family, that we have been empowered through Jesus Christ to share the love and forgiveness all of us have received. We at Christ Lutheran Church through our preschool, welcome children to experience the gifts and grace of being a child of God and to appreciate how affirming and comforting that experience can be. Our preschool is staffed by committed and dedicated teachers who have been inspired for this task by the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Christ Lutheran Church offers our preschool to the community as a valuable assistance, support and reinforcement to the critical role of parenting. Our purpose is to provide a safe and secure place. It is an environment in which each child can develop responsibility as an individual, respect for others and an enthusiasm for learning.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

2 Year Olds

Daily schedule includes free play in various learning centers, story time, arts and craft projects, circle time, music and finger play, outdoor or large motor skills play.

• This is a program in which the children separate from their parents after the first week of class.

3 & 4 Year Olds

Daily schedule includes free play in various learning centers, language arts, circle time, project reinforcing the lesson for the day, calendar, weather, helpers, cooking, snack time and outdoor play.

Field trips are scheduled according to availability, and are used to support curriculum units.
Special Events-Family/Social Picnic, Holiday Programs, Mother’s Day Tea Party, and Moving Up/Graduation Days.

Little Lights Christian Preschool is nondiscriminatory and admits students of any race, religion or ethnic origin.

As part of our religious education, the children learn about the holidays of the church, simple bible stories, say a prayer at circle time and before snack, and attend age appropriate monthly chapel visits led by the pastoral staff.

OUR FACILITIES:

• Our classrooms are each equipped with a private bathroom and sink.
• Security doors in halls and private entrance for preschool use.
• Gymnasium for indoor play
• Stage and large fellowship hall for special event days.

Our classroom centers include manipulative play, dramatic play, puppets, library, crafts, block building, nature/scientific exploration cooking, music and more.

Our fenced-in playground includes a climbing structure with slide, covered sand boxes, play houses, ride on toys, and basketball hoops.

Winter indoor play includes ride on toys, parachute, balance beam, hula-hoops, hopscotch mat, beanbag toss, and more.
