52 CLUB: It is time for us as a congregation to renew our enthusiasm for the Bible. The Bible has been the place where many of us have turned in times of crisis or need. For others, passages are written on our hearts forever. I, as your pastor, want to encourage you for the next 52 weeks to read the Bible. We have put together a calendar of daily suggestions. Use it or make up your own, but read, unzip the scripture and all that it holds for your life. You just might hear and encounter God along the way. See this week's readings HERE.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you can make a few phone calls to the members to remind them to bring baked goods to the fair on Dec. 6th, please sign the sheet on the bulletin board in the hallway or speak with Muriel Rowland or Beth Reindl. Thanks for your help.

CHRISTMAS WREATH / POINSETTIA DEDICATIONS:
As in the past we will again be decorating CLC with wreaths and poinsettias for the Christmas season. If you would like to dedicate a wreath or a poinsettia as a memorial, please fill out a dedication envelope found on the hallway bulletin board and place it in the Altar Guild mailbox. Wreath dedications are $35, poinsettia dedications are $15. The deadline for submitting your dedication is Sunday, Dec. 21. Thank you. Questions about wreaths, call Beth; 499-2172; questions about poinsettias, call Loretta, 368-6634.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING: The semi-annual congregation meeting is scheduled for Dec. 7th at 12:30pm. The meeting is important because we will select new council positions, hear reports about the audit committee and look at the ministries from the past year. ADVENT: Advent is just around the corner and family craft/fun time willagain be part of our Wednesday nights. This year, however, the crafts will start at 6:30pm and the family-friendly worship at 7:30pm. This gives families a chance to attend and not have a late night. The first Advent celebration is Dec 3rd and we will make wall-hanging Advent wreaths. All people are welcome to attend.
